What is conflict?

Conflict is interference by one person with the achievement of another person's goals.

What is Desirable conflict?

A small amount of conflict sometimes beneficial because it may challenge employees and stimulate fresh ideas.

What is avoidance strategy?

Taking a neutral position or agreeing with another person's position even though it differs from your personal belief in order to avoid problems.

What is the compromise strategy?

Everyone involved in the conflict agrees to a mutually accepted solution.

What is the win/lose strategy?

A strategy in which no one compromises, therefore resulting in someone winning and another losing.
