Special Message from Executive Director’s office: Opening of Orlando Science K-8- East Campus

Dear Families,

Orlando Science Schools is very excited to announce the proposal of opening a new Kindergarten through eighth-grade campus in east Orlando probably near the UCF campus for the 2020-2021 school year. The school will be accepting grades K-5 in August of 2020 and will be adding one grade each year until we reach the inclusion of 8th grade. The students who choose to attend our east campus will be eligible to continue to the current Orlando Science Charter High School which is located on Technology Drive. While our plans are progressing, we would like to ask for your participation by filling in an interest application to help us determine the capacity of each grade level. If you are on the waitlist for one of our current campuses or would like to transfer your children to the east campus, please complete the application form below by February 15th, 2019.

FortifyFL app is now Available

Big picture

OSS Families: See the important message below regarding FortifyFlorida.

We are pleased to announce that the FortifyFL app is LIVE. Now, any student, educator, parent or member of the public can report school safety concerns directly to law enforcement and school administrators anonymously and easily through the FortifyFL app or www.getfortifyfl.com. The Florida Legislature directed this tool’s development in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act.

The app, which is available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices, is critical to ensuring all Florida schools are safe environments where students and educators can experience and share the joy of learning without fear.

We hope that you will become familiar with this tool and help us spread the word about it with your students and their families. Please note that the official app’s logo will look exactly as it does in the graphic above.
