Dear JMMS Families,

What a great week to be a Dust Devil!

Kudos, to our Robotics Team, Mr. Lorie, Mrs. Tompkins, Mr. Rakov and their families for all of their hard work and dedication in preparation for the First Lego League competition this past Saturday. The team did a phenomenal job competing against fifteen other teams from all around San Diego County taking home the 1st place trophy for Robot Design. Our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the team during their season.

A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Leslie Camerino, Mrs. Candice Arban, Mrs. April Daniels, Mrs. Tracy Rutledge, Mrs. Jennifer Broma and Mrs. Shannon Thornton, Mrs. Jane Smith and Ms. Rebecca Sanders for planning our first family movie night. More thanks go out to Mother Nature, for providing a beautiful starry night for Alpine families enjoying "The Nightmare Before Christmas".

Lastly, on this Veteran's Day a profound thanks to all of our active duty service members and veterans. It is my honor to call you brothers and sisters. Your sacrifice inspires the next generation to make our world a better place. I would also like to wish my fellow Marines a belated birthday (November 10, 1776). A reminder to all that serve, "Ductus Exemplo" being a Marine is not about giving or receiving orders; it is about behaving in a manner that inspires others. Semper Fidelis!
