Read Me Day
WEAR CLOTHES EVERYONE CAN READ
ABOUT
On this day, you can wear shirts, caps, pins that everyone can read. It all started in 1986, by a teacher, Frankie DeWees, at East Hickman Elementary School in Lyles, Tennessee. Its purpose was to celebrate the importance of reading. Students, Teachers, and Visitors, can wear clothing with quotes, sayings, or a message on the clothing they wear.
