First Grade News:This week in Math, first grade was learning about Fact Families. As a small group, students had to roll two dice and use the numbers to figure out the missing third number. Students used their knowledge of fact families to create fact family crowns. Students were also introduced to the game Salute, which is similar to headbands, where students have to solve for the mystery number they are holding. Students are able to look at their neighbors number and are given the sum of their problem. With this information, students have to solve for the number they are holding. This game practices solving for the missing addend. | | |

Students studying ecosystems with Ms. Heidi Mullendore | : In Science class, students worked on their measuring skills, learned how to use a balance scale with Gram stackers, and completed a Mystery Box lab, learning about matter and mass. |

Fifth Grade News:Students in Miss Soldner’s science class are working on their close reading and text annotating skills while also enjoying Pajama Day! | :Mr. Eberhart’s math students completed an ordered pairs activity using a coordinate grid and they created shamrock designs to get us in the March spirit! | Mrs. Barr’s students enjoyed playing some trivia games using the Blooket website during recess! |

Please do not park along the sidewalk or in front of the round-a-bout. It is important that cars are able to drive along there to safely let their children out of the car for school. Thank you!
Water Bottles:
Due to the continued closure of our water fountains, students should bring a water bottle to school daily. The bottle must only contain water.
School Gate Guardian:
Please remember to bring your driver's license/photo ID with you when you visit our school. We will require all visitors to scan through School Gate Guardian. Please understand that this is for the safety of our students and staff.
