Link Crew’s April Freshman of the Month
2021 AFJROTC Cyber Academy Selection
Cadet Jessica Robles was selected to the 2021 AFJROTC Cyber Academy. She will be 1 of 100 cadets nationwide to attend a virtual/online summer university program for college credit and an opportunity to earn an industry IT certification. The scholarships are funded by the National Science Foundation.
Santiago FBLA State Competition Results
FIRST PLACE: Natash Dhamsania: Creed This event consists of reciting the FBLA Creed. (Unfortunately, this event does not move on to Nationals as it is a State Event, but congrats Natasha!!!! SHE SCORED 100% ON HER RATING SHEETS WITH ALL JUDGES! That is AMAZING!
FIRST PLACE: Loreli Tang: Introduction to Public Speaking --- Business speech based on FBLA‑PBL Goals She is going on to NATIONALS! She scored 99% on her rating sheet!!!
Third place Shree Reddy Future Business Leader This event consists of three (3) parts: materials submission prior to the conference (cover letter and résumé), an objective test, and an interview. She is GOING TO NATIONALS!!! This is a very competitive event Statewide and Nationally.
Fifth Place Mirsab Mirza, International Business Two (2) parts: an objective test and interactive role play presentation with a case study in front of judges!
Sixth Place Carter Chen, Computer Problem Solving objective test covering Operating Systems; Networks; Personal Computer Components; Security; Safety and Environmental Issues; Laptop and Portable Devices; Printers and Scanners

Would you like to check out a book from the Santiago Library?
Even though the library is only open by appointment during cohort time, you can place a hold on a book through our Destiny Library in MyCNUSD, and then pick it up at the library between your cohort classes. Just knock at the doors facing the quad for book pick-up, return, or help. If you need to come during class, your teacher can call ahead to make an appointment for you to come to the library. This program was designed by the Corona Police Department’s Traffic Collision Response Team to educate young drivers on the causes and prevention of traffic collisions. This life changing program brings traffic safety awareness to teen drivers through interactive lecture, guest speakers, and multi-media presentations. The student will come away with a better understanding of the awesome responsibility involved in driving, as well as the consequences of poor decisions behind the wheel. Topics covered include: Drunk Driving, Speeding, Street Racing, Seatbelts, and other Driving Laws.

The Athletic Department is proud to announce the following student/athletes receiving financial assistance because of their athletic and academic accomplishments the last 4 years:
Does my student(s) need to return the device, such as a Chromebook or Wifi Hot Spot?
Yes. Similar to textbooks, the devices will be returned at the end of the school year. More information to follow. The parent/guardian is responsible for any damages or costs incurred as a result of the student’s use and possession of the device. As outlined in board policy BP8500, the Board of Education intends that technology resources provided by the District be used in a safe, responsible, and proper manner in support of instructional programs for the advancement of student learning.
Steps to complete the registration process on Q Parent Connect:
- Log into Parent Connect
- Select Online Registration
- Select Edit next to the desired student
- Go to the Instructional Program/Device Needs section
- Answer the required questions
- Select Submit

- Care Solace is an online resource with a live 24x7 concierge line meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health-related programs and counseling services.
- To use Care Solace, individuals answer ten basic questions in order to receive an extensive list of referrals to applicable care providers. Care Solace takes into account all types of private insurance including Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and Medicare and those that have no insurance. The system also filters by age, gender, zip code, and special request.
- Care Solace is now available for use by CNUSD students, staff, and families at no cost. Please note, this service is an optional resource available by choice and is not mandatory in any way. Care Solace does not require a user’s name, address, phone number, or date of birth.
