Peer Observations
The licensed staff peer observation deadline is fast approaching. Be sure submit your information using this link that follows by March 9th, 2020.
Admin Out of Building
I am writing to request your support Thursday afternoon. Mr. Berg and I will all be at the ESC at a meeting that begins at 12:00 pm. This will leave Mr. Loberg, Mr. Love and Ms. Ross alone to manage the building by themselves. While I am completely confident in their ability to do this, I am hoping that everyone could be supportive during this time. It would be helpful if you could be present in the hallway, actively ushering students to class and being a general visible presence during that time frame as your schedule allows. I am sure they would also welcome your presence in the lunchroom.
Feedback Opportunity
Please use the Schoology discussion link found here to provide feedback about the flex learning day on February 13th, 2020.
WICOR Posters
Please use the form found here to request an AVID WICOR (writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, & reading) strategy poster(s) for your classroom or area of supervision. There are two options to choose from. You have your choice of a poster with a summary of all strategies or five individual posters with more detailed information for each strategy.
Code of Conduct
A Code of Conduct refresher was shown to all North View students the week of January 27th, and I am asking that all staff view it as well. This will allow you to see what the students saw and know the exact messaging they received. Secondly, you can use the video as a reference and/or in your own class at a time of your choosing to reinforce any expectations that you think need reinforcing. You can view the brief seven minute video by clicking here.

Check & Connect Update
In January, Check & Connect students and mentors participated in community building activities. It was fiercely competitive, but we eventually crowned our champions!
Check & Connect is a mentor based intervention program, designed to meet individual student needs. The goal of Check & Connect is to help students showing signs of disengagement to re-engage at school and with learning, with the end goal of school completion, all while building competencies within social, emotional and academics.
North View Knights are proud to have the following Check & Connect mentors: Nicole Ackatz, Ann Dale, Katy Dale, Drew Hamilton, Kaylee Herlofsky, DeAndra Knighten, Dennis Gunther, Emily Laudal, Tom McLaughlin, Shanna Schroeder, Luke Stahlmann, Brenda Stanton. Thank you for all that you do!

Because administrators are not always at our desks during the school day, emailing or leaving a message for us might not get a timely response. You can do this by calling her or stopping down to the administration office. If you are unsure about what a tier three incident is, please click here for that information.
