Media Center Book check-out/pick-up - now on Thursdays!
Today was the first day that our media center staff, Mrs. Andersen and Mrs. Israel, organized an opportunity for our Glen Lake students to check out library books from the GL media center collection. It was a huge success, and we look forward to getting more books in the hands of our students on THURSDAYS (new day to align with new meal pick-up day) to come. Below are a details:
*****CLICK HERE TO PUT IN YOUR BOOK REQUESTS*****
- submissions for book requests should be put in by end of the day on Tuesday
- Up to four books per week may be checked out by each student
- books will be distributed to families at curbside by the front door of the school on Thursdays 10:00-2:00.
- All the library books have been sitting on the shelves for over a month, which allows us to safely handle and distribute.
- The staff will use new bags for the distribution of the books every week.
- There will be plastic bins outside the school for books to be returned, but no books that have gone home will be re-circulated on subsequent weeks.
- Strict district guidelines for safety (masks, gloves, social distancing) will be followed in the media center and during Thursday distribution times.
Information for families about how students can search for books on their iPads and how parents can order books for pickup can be found by clicking on the Library Media Center distance learning page: Glen Lake Library Media Center
