To register: https://www.mylearningplan.com/WebReg/ActivityProfile.asp?D=18662&I=2344703
Thinking about Thinking: Metacognition, executive functioning, and cognitive science are three of the ways we try to describe what's happening in our brains as we learn and think about that learning. Join your colleagues for a two-day institute organizing around better understanding students' - and your - brain.
The program will focus on challenging common myths around learning, supporting students with disabilities to take more control over their school experience, and how to design lessons, units, and assessments to better support students' brains. The institute will include input on the latest research on neuroscience, work sessions, text-based discussions, and peer review. Participants will leave the institute with strategies for both the short and long-term.
