Attention Fusion Program Parents

Ms. Patty

It is with GREAT sadness we announce Ms. Patty's departure

Ms. Patty could not have come at a better time for our Fusion students, beginning a new school year. She walked through our doors, blew us away, cleaned up a flood during her interview and rocked the first half of your child's 2015 - 2016 school year in the Blue Room! Ms. Patty had big shoes to fill when she entered our program, but she easily exceeded the expectation which led her to the opportunity she has today.

Though we are sad to see Ms. Patty leave The Learning Cottage family, we could not be more proud of her hard work and dedication to the Early Childhood field and having been a part of our Fusion Team. Manatee County has offered Ms. Patty a position educating young adults in our community and schooling them on becoming an Early Childhood educator in the best ways possible. In addition, in her new role, Ms. Patty will have the opportunity to observe those training educators in their learning environments, creating a bright future in the new generation of Early Childhood Educators.

For the best of her family, Ms. Patty has accepted the position with Manatee County and will begin training Jan 18th. Ms Patty's last day at The Learning Cottage will be Friday, Jan 15th, but don't fret! Ms. Patty has asked to stay on as part of The Learning Cottage family as an on call substitute!

We are currently seeking the best fit for our Pre-K homeroom and Blue Room teacher. In the mean time, Ms Aimee will begin teaching in that program from 8- 1:30, daily. Please feel free to share the staff opening with those who may be seeking Early Childhood employment, however, a Child Development Assoc or Early Childhood Education degree is a MUST.

Ms. Patty has not yet shared this information with the children, but will begin to explain her departure and where she is going with the students next week.

Should you have ANY questions please feel free to contact a member of management.
