FRACTIONS
What you do:
Adding subtraction
First you find the LCF on the denominators and multiply the numerators and the denominators by the number you multiply to get the LCF and add/subtract the fractions and there's you answer.
Multiplication
You line up the fractions and multiply across and if you can simplify the number before and/or after
Division
First you keep change flip you keep first number and change the sign to multiply and flip the numerator and denominator on the second number
You always have to have the same denominator
To add and subtract factions, multiplying and dividing you don't have to.
Example:
1/2+3/4= 2/4+3/4= 5/4 or 1 and 1/4. 12/16-4/8= 12/16-8/16= 4/16 or 1/4
1/2\4/2= 1/2x2/4= 1/1x1/4= 1/4 2/5x3/6= 1/5x1= 1/5
