The Panther Pride
Pleasant Run Elementary School
October 26, 2018
Dear Pleasant Run Families:
Welcome back from Fall Break! I hope everyone is getting back into the swing of their normal routines. We had a great week back, and our students have been working hard!
Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend Parent Teacher Conferences, prior to Fall Break. I can't express enough the importance of teacher-parent collaboration. You are truly the most important factor in your child's education. If you were unable to attend, we still would love to hear from you. Please make sure you child's teacher knows the best way to contact you so that they can either reschedule a meeting or at a minimum speak with you over the phone about your child's progress.
As we approach Halloween, our primary areas of focus are safety and learning. In order to maintain a safe and productive learning environment, students are NOT permitted to wear costumes to school or to bring in any candy. I appreciate your understanding and if you are participating in any Halloween activities, be sure to stay safe and have fun.
Finally, our fundraiser items are currently being processed and will be ready for pickup on November 1st from 3:30 to 6:00 PM.
As always, I appreciate your support. Please contact me at 532-3803 if you have any further questions.

Joining the PTA allows you to meet some great people. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, to build rapport and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can share ideas, concerns, and experiences to make the school year better for everyone.
The mission of the Pleasant Run Elementary PTA is to act in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Pleasant Run PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.
Pleasant Run Elementary has a very active and supportive PTA. We sponsor many fun events throughout the school year. We also provide volunteers for many school events as well as provide support for school programs such as Super Reader, Breakfast with Santa and the annual fund raiser. Please join us for a PTA meeting to see what we’re all about.
