Final Exams Wednesday May 4 and Thursday May 5

It may seem too early to discuss finals but it is already the end of our semester here at GAVS! We have only one more assignment due date (April 28). The following week is exams May 4 and 5! The last day to submit late work for the April 28 due date is Tuesday, May 3.

Final Exam Information

  • Please contact your school's facilitator to verify if you need to take the exam from school or from home if you do not know.
  • The Final Exam will open Wednesday, May 4, at 12:00 a.m.
  • The Final Exam will close Thursday, May 5, at 11:59 p.m.
  • You have 90 minutes to take the final exam. The final exam has 50 questions. The questions will come from the question bank for the Autotests Vocabulaire. It is worth 20% of your final grade.
  • I will be available all day Wednesday if you have a problem during the exam. I advise you, if at all possible, to take your exam in the morning hours on Wednesday so that if you have problems, we will have the rest of the day to get back on track. Call me immediately if you have problems.

Watch this 50 minute film about what it means to "become French," take notes, and then do one of the assignments below to earn supplementary points. Either write a brief essay (two to three paragraphs in French, bien sûr!) to summarize the video as well as your reaction to the sentiments expressed in the video. Submit this to the dropbox Différentiation by midnight, Monday, May 2 and receive 10 points added to your lowest test or project grades. OR... Respond orally, from the top of your head, on the same topic, in an audio recording that you submit to the dropbox Différentiation by midnight, Monday, May 2 and add 10 points to your lowest conversation grades.

Grades have been updated for this grading period. Please let me know if you have any questions.
