Greetings from Dr. G

August 17, 2019

The Masai tribe in Africa is known for the greeting: "Kasserian Ingera" which translates to "and how are the children". At CIA, every day we are thinking: How are the children? We are committed to the well-being of every child in our hands and are deeply aware of the trust our families place in us to care for their children. We do not take this responsibility lightly and are constantly seeking ways to grow and better support your children.

We are refining our procedures for arrival and dismissal and are developing a system to efficiently communicate transportation information we receive during the day. Please remember to notify the office if your scholars will be a car rider instead of a bus rider for the day.

Communication is a vital piece to CIA's success. While social media is a great way to share information, if you have questions, comments, or concerns, please share those directly with Dr. Garcia, Mr. Dillon, or your scholar's teacher. We do not always see comments or questions on the school's Facebook page nor can we actively monitor it throughout the day or evening.

We are looking forward to our first full week of school and hope to see you at the Open House on August 22nd from 5:30-7:00 pm. Be sure to stop by the PTSC table and find out how you can get involved.

Remember, literacy is a vital skill and we are committed to making sure every child in our building is a super reader! Reading 20 minutes a day at home makes a difference, and we need your help to make sure scholars understand its importance.

Blessings,

Dr. Garcia
