NO YMCA 2/2

The YMCA will be closed tomorrow, Thurs. Feb. 2nd for an all day staff training. Families were previously notified by the Y about this closure. Please remember to make alternate plans for your student after school if they typically attend the YMCA.

REMINDER: PJ and Stuffy Day

This Friday, February 3rd is our very first Spirit Day of the Year. It will be PAJAMA and STUFFY DAY. Students are welcome to wear pajamas or comfy clothes and bring a small (fit in their backpack) stuffed animal. Clothing should be appropriate for going outside to recess. Individual teachers may have some additional rules and advice for this day.

PTA News!

New annual fundraiser to support the Grout community all year!

This year, rather than raising funds by charging for admission to events or asking you to purchase items through an auction, this year we are asking for direct donations only. Your contribution will fund the PTA’s general fund, which in turn funds events and projects throughout the year. Please see the GoFundMe for a list of programs and events the PTA sponsors.

This is our main fundraiser for the 2022-23 school year, so we encourage you to give generously! Please feel free to share with friends and family members who may be interested in supporting our school. Any donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) under DA Grout PTA, EIN: 93-6039312.

Interested in PTA? We need Committed individuals for next school year

We will need someone to take over each of the following positions for the 2023-2024 school year. If you start now, you can learn from the current chair!

Communications Chair: Do you know how to use Canva? We could use your help in creating flyers, Facebook posts, and Instagram posts for the events PTA sponsors. This position must attend monthly board meetings.

Garden Chair: Help our Grow Portland teacher maintain the garden with twice a year clean-ups with other volunteers. Organize and run the spring plant sale (we have a very easy system in place). Other projects as you have time/bandwidth/desire. This position must attend monthly board meetings.
