Jordan/Jackson News You Can Use
March 15, 2023
Dear Families,
We are very excited to see so many of you in person for Family Conferences tomorrow and Friday. Please keep the following in mind:
For safety purposes, we are asking all families to enter through the Visitor Entrance until 6:00pm*. The Visitor Entrance is located at the front of our building.
Please remember to have a photo id with you when you arrive.
Our staff will check you in and provide you with a sticker badge. This process can take a couple of minutes, especially during times of high volume.
If at all possible, please try to factor that into your planning and arrive a couple of minutes early for your appointment.
We have made teachers aware that it is possible families may be delayed because of this process.
*From 6:00pm to 8:00pm, families can enter the building through any of our three main doors (East Door 1, West Door 5 or Visitor Door 2)
Thank you for your understanding,
John Nieratko
LOST AND FOUND

cafeteria when you're visiting this week during conferences.
Attention Families of Students in Grades 3 and 4
A note from our nurses: Under Massachusetts General Law, Mansfield Public Schools require documentation of physical exams in grades Pre K, K, 4, 7, 10 and each year for high school sports eligibility.
All students entering Grade 4 in the fall (2023/2024 school year) are required to provide the school with a copy of a recent physical exam. We will accept any exam done after January 2023 (second half of 3rd grade and any exam taking place during the 4th grade year). Please send a copy to your school nurses’ office after the exam takes place. If your child is due for a physical, please schedule this as soon as possible.
If you need any information regarding the above requirements or want information about health insurance, please call the Jordan/Jackson Health Office at (508) 261-7525 or (508) 261-7520.

REQUEST THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY
AT THEIR PERFORMANCE OF DEAR EDWINA JR.
Friday, March 24 @ 7pm and Saturday, March 25 @ 1pm & 7pm
Mansfield High School Auditorium
Tickets can be purchased at the door before each performance for $7.00 (cash or check)
Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of a thirteen-year-old advice columnist and problem-solver named Edwina, who dishes out advice and wisdom with the help of her friends and a little song and dance. Edwina Spoonapple would do just about anything to be a part of the Kalamazoo Advice-A-Palooza Festival. While her siblings all have proof “up on the fridge” of their accomplishments, poor Edwina has nothing. When a talent scout from the festival visits her hometown of Paw Paw, Michigan, she trots out her musical advice-giving show live from the family garage in hopes of finding her place in the spotlight.
Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming show featuring witty musical lessons exploring courtesy and politeness that will have you laughing out loud. At the heart of all this fun is a wonderful message about the importance of how we treat each other and love ourselves.
We look forward to seeing you in the audiences cheering on these 60 talented kids!

Meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski Visits with Jordan/Jackson
Meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski from WBZ news virtually visited six fifth grade classrooms to talk about weather and climate. Students learned about different weather patterns, climate change and its impact on our planet, and different kinds of storms. They had a Q and A and discovered Sarah loves her job, once rode in a helicopter with a glass floor, and believes climate change is happening and we can make a difference.
