Unit of Inquiry: Where We are In Time and Place

Our exploration into the lives of immigrants has begun. Students are reading about early immigrants to the United States and reflecting on the impact their lives have made on our country. We watched a video about Ellis Island and considered what the thoughts and feelings of the people would have been. We encourage families to learn more about their own ancestry.

Camp Wakonda

We had such a great time at Camp Wakonda. These experiences have given students a much clearer conceptual picture of what life would have been like for explorers, pioneers and the Native Americans. We have taken several pictures during camp, we will try to get them posted to the Student Gallery on Canvas so that students can share these pictures with you.

Conferences will take place during the weeks of October 24-November 4.

These will be individual conferences but we want the child to be present and involved.

Please sign-up for a time for you and your child to meet with us. The sign-up form will be sent home today along with the newsletter.
