Spotlight on Our Core Values
A few weeks ago I witnessed a class that exemplifies our core values of relationship, innovation, passion, and excellence.
I visited Mrs. Steed’s 4th grade class where her students were in the middle of independent math work. Realizing her students needed a break, she told her students they were going to GoNoodle. All the class exclaimed, "Yes!" and immediately stood up to participate. Mrs. Steed has been using an online tool called GoNoodle to encourage positive behavior while giving her students a brain break. Since consistently using this tool she has seen significant behavior changes and more engaged students.
I especially liked seeing this because I could feel the safe environment she has provided for her students by building relationships, participating with them, using technology appropriately, and exemplifying passion and excellence.
Great job Mrs. Steed!
