Red Ribbon Week Contest

Christmas Carol Challenge
Fa La La La, Fa La La La! It’s time to get in the holiday spirit! We are going to have a Christmas Carol Challenge! Students and staff will choose a Christmas Carol (listed in the public domain) to create a 60-second video to share with the community.
Here are the rules:
1. Students and staff will work together to create the video.
- The video must include students and staff members.
- You can decide how many staff members and students you would like to include.

3. The video must not exceed 60 seconds.
4. Most importantly, be creative and have fun!
- Costumes and props encouraged!
5. Submit your campus' video via Google Drive and email Elyse Rountree to let her know it has been uploaded.
- DEADLINE: Thursday, November 21st at 5 PM
All of the campus’ videos will be posted to the GPISD YouTube Channel on Friday, November 22 by 4 PM. The campus with the most YOUTUBE LIKES by Friday, December 13 at 5 PM will win a Hot Chocolate Party for the entire campus. Be sure to communicate with your parents, students and staff to like your campus’ video on the GPISD YouTube Channel!
Note: We will ONLY be counting YouTube likes to determine the winner

Digital YouTube Series
During the 2017-2018 school year, we started our two new video series, Digital Story and Perfect Match. These two series have been a HUGE hit on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube!
This school year, we will focus our attention on Digital Stories. Please submit the Eduphoria Formspace form 1 to 2 weeks prior to the events to request coverage from the Communications Department.
How to find the Eduphoria form:
- go to Eduphoria
- click Formspace
- click Submit New Form (bottom left corner)
- click Communications Department
- click Communications Request for Service

Submission Reminders
- In subject line of email, please put the album name and number (ex. #1 GPE Back to School)
- Submissions should be made in a timely manner
- Keep your submissions short and sweet
- Make sure submissions are written in third person (ex. Galena Park Elementary welcomed back all their students today! The students and staff were excited to explore their new school building.)
- Spell check and proofread before submitting
