MAXPREPS came to PHS today to announce it has ranked the PHS State Champion Volleyball team 9th in the Nation!

The Political Science Club participated in the Delaware Model United Nations Conference. 22 students attended, with 14 winning awards, the largest number of awards in the history of the club.

Coming Events

December 13, Ironton First Annual Holiday Open House, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. The event will include a Pancake Breakfast and Holiday Shop complete with gift wrapping.

December 13 and 20 - Parkland High School Performing Arts Club Children’s Theatre Workshop 9:00 AM & 12:30 PM at PHS Auditorium.

December 14, PHS Chorale Winter Concert at Neffs UCC, 7:00 PM.

December 18, Parkland Senior Citizen Holiday Dinner #2, 5:30 PM.

December 18, Parkland High School Orchestra/11th & 12th Grade Chorus/Chorale Winter Concert 7:00 PM.


Note that all of our winter concerts are free and open to the public!

Achievements/Announcements

The Parkland Girls' Volleyball team was ranked 9th in the nation by MAXPREPS with a 45-0-1 season and a championship win at the state level. MAXPREPS and a representative from the National Guard presented the team with a trophy in front of the whole student body.

The PHS Multicultural Leadership Club delivered socks from the Sock Drive in November to the Sixth Street Shelter. They collected more than 500 pairs of socks!


111 gifts for Northampton County Children, Youth, and Families were collected by PHS staff and students to fulfill holiday wishes. Many student clubs volunteered to help with the collection and load up the gifts!

PHS Music Production “Parkland: A Season for Giving 2014” Music CD This year marks the Parkland High School’s Music Production class’s 9th annual holiday CD. The CD features more than 40 Parkland students who have produced and/or performed 13 stylistically diverse tracks, from classical to rock to pop to electronica and more. The CD’s are $10 and include covers of well-loved holiday classics and two original songs. Heroes and Helpers Event

This week, South Whitehall Township Police Department, Upper Macungie Police Department and Target helped children from Parkland School District to purchase holiday gifts for their families. During the in-store shopping event, the children are paired with Police officers who will help in picking out holiday gifts for the kids’ families. The Heroes & Helpers program fosters strong community relationships by pairing public safety officials with local youth to shop for the children's families during the holidays.
