Moana: It's time!! I am so excited for our school musical starting this Thursday. If you don't already have tickets, you will want to get them before they are sold out! Tickets can be purchased from 8:30-3:30 each day in the school office. Details are on the school web page. It's going to be amazing!
Registration: The registration window for 2021-2022 is now open. Each family must be updated in the system in order for us to register your child. For registration information and instructions, please go to our school web page, http://artcity.nebo.edu/ and click on the Registration button at the top. Students will not be placed into a class until the registration process is complete. If you have any questions, please call Natalie or Kim in the office.
Lost and Found: We have many items in our lost and found. This time of year we get lots of nice coats and jackets. If you are missing anything, please check the lost and found located in the north lobby.
5th/6th Grade Celebration: Friday May 21 will be a day of celebration for 5th and 6th graders. In the morning Mrs. Jensen has arranged a "Middle School Day" for students to help answer questions, practice moving from class to class and alleviate anxiety about middle school. Our amazing PTA is providing a pizza lunch, followed by a kickball tournament. These great kids will end the school day with a parade through the hallways of Art City, complete with the student body cheering them on and wishing them well! Students will receive a certificate and ring pop as they end their parade. We will have a video of the parade on our website. Teachers will send home a slide show of the grade level to parents for a keepsake. There will not be an evening performance or graduation. This celebration is not for families, rather a time for the kids to have a super fun day and celebrate the end of the school year.
Teacher Requests: I am not taking teacher requests for next school year. However, if you have educational concerns regarding your child, please feel free to call me at school to discuss these concerns. I prefer an in person visit or phone call as these discussions are very important. There is movement and change in each grade level, so specific teacher requesting is not feasible.
If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to give us a call or email.
Art City PTA
All are welcome! Our final PTA meeting of the year will be held this Thursday, May 13th at 9:30am in the cafeteria and we invite any parent or teacher to attend and share ideas for success! We would like to curate the 2020-21 school year programs and PTA efforts so that parents and students alike benefit in the best ways. This requires your feedback and insight! Please consider filling out the survey below to help us focus on what is most important to YOU. Thank you to all of our volunteers this past year! It has meant so much to be able to continue traditions and programs in spite of COVID irregularities.
All attendees will be given a raffle ticket for an oil diffuser and 8 essential oils (a $70 value) or 2 tickets to Moana. If you bring a friend to the meeting, you can enter twice!
There have been many requests to open up the window for yearbook purchases. Please log into the website on the flyer to purchase a yearbook. A big thank you to Krista Harrison for working so hard on our yearbook!
