Lunch Visitors

Due to an increase in BBE enrollment numbers this year, our cafeteria unfortunately does not have the capacity to accommodate daily lunch visitors. Parents are welcome to visit your child for lunch in the cafeteria on his or her birthday or half-birthday (for summer birthdays). Parents also have the option to checkout your child to eat lunch with him or her outside on one of our picnic tables in the front of the school. Please check-in to the front office with your driver's license for identification as a birthday lunch visitor or to checkout your child for lunch outside.

Forgotten Items

Parents may drop off forgotten items (lunches, water bottles, library books, etc.) on the marked shelf in the front foyer of the school. Labels are provided to mark the item with your child's name and teacher's name. Safety Patrol members are happy to deliver the Items daily at 10:00 am. To reduce classroom disruptions, we are unable to call into the classrooms or deliver items after that time. Please email your child's teacher to alert him/her of any items dropped off after 10:00 am, and your child may pick up the item at the teacher's discretion.

Attendance Procedures

Official Attendance Time at BBE is 9:50 am. Please contact your child's teacher AND the attendance office to report an absence, using one of the following methods:

Detailed absence information is available on the Attendance webpage of the BBE website.

Wisdom Wednesdays

Parents, every Wednesday we promote college awareness at BBE. Students will have the opportunity to watch college promo videos or videos from BBE alumni sharing where they attended college. Please encourage your child to join us by wearing a college or military t-shirt each Wednesday. All our Bears have bright futures!

PTA Healthy Lifestyles

Try some of these healthy tips to curb the sugar spikes and keep the kids feeling spooktacular all night long!

  • Fill up First- have a healthy meal before your kids go trick-or-treating. Help reduce the temptation to eat candy while walking with full tummies of healthy food.
  • Keep bags small- choose a small container to collect candy and try to steer clear of oversized bags and pillowcases.
  • Get Moving- get some exercise by making Halloween a fun, family activity by walking instead of driving. Set a goal of how many houses or streets you’ll visit. Wear comfortable shoes, bring lots of water and flashlights.

  • Have a plan- talk with kids about moderation and making smart eating choices. Plan how much they’ll be allowed to eat.

Bears On The Go!

Keep a count of the days your students walk or ride their bike to school. At the end of each month, enter the total in the Online Form for Bears on the Go. Questions? Contact Samantha Cox at BearsOnTheGo@bbepta.com.

PTA Reflections Competition

Big picture

I will change the world by... is this year's theme for our PTA Reflections competition. Encourage your child to participate by creating an original writing or fine arts project sharing how they plan to change the world. Details can be found by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by visiting the Texas PTA website at https://www.txpta.org/reflections. All entries can be turned into the Reflections box located in the front foyer at BBE.
