Static in the Shadows had their second winter percussion competition on Saturday, March 11th at Liberty High School! We are proud of our students and all of the hard work they have put in to make their show a success! Thank you to the parents and families who were able to come volunteer and show your support.

It takes many hands at these events. Please consider helping at championships. It's a great way to meet families and make friendships. Check out a few pictures from the day.

Wind Ensemble will be participating in this festival on Saturday, March 18th. More information to come.

We will be traveling with our Wind Ensemble and Symphonic band to this event on March 14th. 4 volunteers would be greatly appreciated. We will be leaving early. Call time is 6:30 am in the band room. Estimated return at SHS is 12:30 pm.

Skyview band and Dance will partner with the choir and orchestra to help raise money for the music department. The goal is to host a larger annual fundraiser at Skyview (Music Showcase) to help minimize tedious fundraisers such as payback books, chocolate, butter braids, etc., throughout the year. The Skyview Music Showcase event also centers efforts around student participation and performance and it provides a way for the community to come together to experience Skyview music and dance. Funds raised will go towards Skyview band and dance scholarships, grants, lowering overall student fees, transportation, equipment, operational costs, clinicians, instrument replacement, and eventual uniform replacement.

SVBD needs your help. The band is donating four auction baskets for the Music showcase event on March 25. Below is a link to the signup genius for items needed for donation, which includes an “item of choice” for each themed basket to allow folks the flexibility and the creativity to donate non-listed basket items. Additionally, cash donations are welcome. Your contribution is valuable and greatly appreciated.
