Letter from the President
End of Wheaton MOMs Club
As you are all aware, this month brings me the sad responsibility of disbanding our Wheaton MOMs Club. The MOMs Club has played a significant role in my family's life, and I will forever be grateful for the friends I've made and the camaraderie I've benefited from as a stay-at-home mom.
However, we haven't managed to engage enough new moms to continue managing the club or even to continue creating and attending events for the upcoming year, and that is why it is time for us to wrap up our current business and recommend that any remaining members look into joining another one of the social networking and/or support groups available to mothers in our area.
It has been an honor to serve as president, and I want to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the mothers past and present who have helped in the formation and development of this club and the demanding tasks involved with maintaining it. I'm very fortunate that it was available to me when I moved to Wheaton.
I know that I will continue to keep in touch with many of the friends I've made, and I wish everyone the best going forward.
Rachel Bailey

Book Club
Come join us for a discussion of The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.
A debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives.
Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. “Jess and Jason,” she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?
Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.
