Artemis Fowl by Eoin ColferTwelve-year-old Artemis is a millionaire, a genius-and above all, a criminal mastermind. But Artemis doesn't know what he's taken on when he kidnaps a fairy, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. These aren't the fairies of the bedtime stories-they're dangerous! | Gregor the Overlander- The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins When Gregor falls through a grate in the laundry room of his apartment building, he hurtles into the dark Underland, where spiders, rats, cockroaches coexist uneasily with humans. This world is on the brink of war, and Gregor's arrival is no accident. A prophecy foretells that Gregor has a role to play in the Underland's uncertain future. Gregor wants no part of it -- until he realizes it's the only way to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance. Reluctantly, Gregor embarks on a dangerous adventure that will change both him and the Underland forever | Towervale by Patrick Carmen You must play the game to read the book and read the book to play the game. Towervale is organized into seven sections that are not in order. Each section ends with a password you must enter in the Towervale game, unlocking a level. When the level is cleared, the next page to turn to in the book is revealed. But there's a catch: if you didn't read the previous section of the book, you'll have no idea how to clear the level in the game (free game access included with each book - web, app). Your adventure begins in the Caves of Iron and takes you through three realms where you'll encounter a world beyond your imagination and a villain of unparalleled danger. |

Join them on Tuesdays and Thursdays for new episodes featuring the first chapters of titles for tweens and teens. https://anchor.fm/houston-library | Glassell-On-The-Go MFAH and Houston Public Library have partnered to bring Glassell-on-the-Go to Houston youth! Glassell-on-the-Go is a studio art outreach program designed to bring the esteemed youth art classes of the Glassell Junior School into the surrounding community for underserved youth and their families. Working with community partners, the Museum offers creative and innovative experiences that position art and the Museum as important parts of a well-rounded education that help provide an impetus toward lifelong learning.
