Messages from the Thomas Staff
hi everyone! i miss your faces and your boundless energy in the art room! i hope you are all healthy and keep checking classroom for updates on NEW ART!!!!
Dear Students, We had a chance to gather some materials from our classroom this week and it felt very empty without you. We miss you so much and can't wait to see your faces again. Please make sure to check our Google Classroom page regularly. We hope you all are well! #notouching #handstohomenovisiting #doyourpartstayapart Sincerely, Mrs. Sidoti and Miss Schotty
WIND ENSEMBLE & JAZZ ENSEMBLE students will be making their first attempt at a "Virtual Ensemble" this week! Instructions for students are on Google Classroom. Our goal is 100% participation so that all of the instrumental parts are covered - just like with social-distancing, we all have a responsibility to each other in order to make this work! I would like to have everyone's recordings by next FRIDAY, April 10. Then I will compile all of the individual parts into a Virtual Ensemble recording to share with you! Thank you for supporting music education at Thomas! ~Mrs. Watras
Earth Science and Astronomy students don't forget to check Google Classroom for your weekly checklist and activities. Work at your own pace and strive to finish them by the end of the week. I hope you are all healthy! - Mrs. Drury
It is not too late to audition for the 2020/2021 Select Choir! Email Mrs. Nitsch for details TODAY!
Breathe in, breathe out...Take care of yourself- Mrs. Stacey

Titan Updates
Boys State
Boys State is a week-long, civics & leadership program held each summer at colleges throughout the country. The program is sponsored by the American Legion for boys between their junior and senior year of high school. The students selected must be academically strong, civic minded, and possess the qualities of a leader. The Webster Legion selected four Webster Thomas students to participate in this year's program at SUNY Brockport. Congratulations go to the following students:
March Students and Staff of the Month
9th Grade Student of the Month Raja Mosher
Raja demonstrates consistent effort in her work, kindness towards her peers, and is helpful to staff and students in the building. She has integrity and always gives her best. Your dedication to schoolwork and to playing basketball is admirable. Keep up the great work!
10th Grade Student of the Month Dominic Kujawa
Dominic is a respectful young man. He is kind to his teachers and fellow students alike. Dominic is understanding of others' differences and he shows empathy when working with others with diverse needs. He consistently has a positive attitude and he is a pleasure to have in class.
11th Grade Student of the Month Sara Postigo
Sarah is a true Titan, making positive contributions in class and assisting other students outside of class. Her compassion for others is infectious and improves our school community.

Attention Care Club Members (and anyone who would like to spread joy)!
Do you have paper, markers or colored pencils at your house? If so, please consider making encouragement cards for our Titan Family. This is our year long project and prior to school going remote we had over 500 cards to distribute. We'd love to have a card for each Titan! When school resumes you can drop your completed cards off to the Care Room. (Keep track of your time as it can be logged in our system as volunteer hours.)

Radio Club Update
As some of you know, we are lucky enough to have a radio club at the high schools that broadcasts from 4-5pm Monday through Friday during the school year on 90.5fm WBER (The Only Station That Matters). I am the advisor for this club.
During these strange times, many of us turn to music to make us feel human, to make us feel connected to something larger, and to make us know we're all going to be OK.
...At least I know I do.
With that in mind, my student DJs (and I) have created playlists to share with you, representing what we're listening to that's helping us get through this time... We thought maybe you'd want some new tunes to help us feel connected.
If you are so inclined, check our our playlists on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/user/m2t0xsmelv8lrs80b4umzsnj3?si=25RMAZvATi2vBriqaUiTDw
Or one master playlists on Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/quarantine-jams-ultimate-playlist-webster-varsity-radio/pl.u-qxyllEDt2WzY0Vz
...and if that's not enough, you are welcome to go down the rabbit hole of my music-mind: https://open.spotify.com/user/tastahl1?si=53T-_ttMRzyWeiP4znM1jA
Thank you for the support - we hope to be back on the air before the end of the year!
