State Testing: End of Course (EOC) Assessments
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requires school districts to administer EOCs as part of the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP). These tests are taken when a student has received instruction on Algebra, English II, BIology, and Government. EOCs will be administered the week of April 17-21 during the hour in which the students have the class. It is important that students are present in their classes during EOC testing. Students in the following courses will be taking an EOC:
Algebra 1 EOC:
Algebra 1, Algebra 1B, Geometry Honors, and Geometry College Prep
Biology EOC:
Biology, Biology B and Biology Honors
English II EOC:
English II and English II Honors
Government EOC:
Government and AP Government
Additional Details for Testing:
Testing Accommodations: Test proctors are available and will provide special testing accommodations and modifications based on student support plans.
Materials provided by the district: Scratch paper, pencils, and online calculators will be available for students on site.
Required materials needed for testing: Students will need to bring a fully charged, district-issued chromebook and headphones or earbuds. (The district can provide earbuds and headphones if needed).
Optional items needed: Calculator, water bottle and additional writing utensils
Prohibited items:
Cell phones and smartwatches during testing. (Students may have cell phones if they are turned off and put away during testing sessions).
Digital cameras
Hand-held music devices
Calculators that connect to the internet.
Portable gaming devices
Senior Year End Survey Seniors: It is mandatory that you complete The Senior Year-End Activity in Schoolinks letting us know your plans after graduation. To log into Schoolinks you will log in with Google and use your Lindbergh email and password. The activity will be on your dashboard when you log into Schoolinks under "to-do list" (then “show remaining to dos”).
The deadline is MAY 12, Senior Checkout Day. You will not be able to receive your cap and gown until this form is completed.
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS: If you are attending a 2-year or 4-year college/university they will require your final high school transcript. In the Senior Year-End Activity, you are asked to put where you will be attending school in the fall. That is where we will send your final transcript. Unlike before, you DO NOT need to request them through Schoolinks or e-mail me.
Scholarships: In the activity, you will be asked about scholarships. List ALL scholarships you were awarded, even if from a school you are not attending.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 22
Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That's dangerous and often tragic. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects a commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded, unwanted and expired medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction.

Shout Outs
Thank you to Social Studies Teacher Bryan Peske for organizing a successful return of the History Alive program at LHS. The high school hosted about 20 Vietnam War veterans who shared their stories and experiences with our students. It was a great way to learn about history from those who lived it!
Thank you to Student Council for organizing another outstanding Special Olympics softball tournament. LHS regularly hosts one of the largest Special Olympics events in our state and every one of our seniors participates in this service event. The weather was beautiful and the athletes had a great experience at our school. Thanks to all of our student and staff leaders who made this possible.
I wanted to pass along some great news I recently learned about a Lindbergh Alumnus! Thomas Schodl was just awarded the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering in America. Here's an article from Truman State University, where he currently attends.
Eleanor "Ella" Mackinson won 1st place in the Webster Groves DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Chapter Good Citizen Essay Contest. She was awarded $500. Congratulations!
