I think the poem will be about how your dreams effect you.
Your dreams should be kept without forgetting about them.
The poem might mean that your dreams are a lot more than things you think of .
The tone of the speaker seems relaxed and unconcerned .
There is a metaphor that states if dreams die life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Which might mean that the author did not accomplish his dreams.
I think that there is a shift after the author talks about the broken-winged bird. They change from Light hearted to a little more serious on the subject,
Now that I have read the poem I think the title dream is used as a dream you want to accomplish. Not a dream you have in your sleep.
I think the poem is saying to not give up on your dreams
