Why Do Dogs Attack?

Attacking Because Their Scared
Some dogs are easily scared. Reasons a dog can be easily scared may be the dog was abused by the owner. They may have a disease or something that that makes them scared to be around some people. A dog can have seperation fear. Seperation fear is where a pet is terrified to be away from their owner. A dog can be scared about a storm and get so scared that they attack a person they know or do not know. Dogs that are scared always have their tails tucked between their legs. The history behind a dogs life is not always what you think it was.
Attacking for Protection
Dogs that attack because protection do this because they might have been trianed to protect thier family. Some dogs attack for protection because they have addisions disease. Addisions disease is a diseaseis where the adrenal glands DO NOT FUNCTION FULLY. Addisions disease can affect a dogs training, so they could forget about their training and attack, not meaning to hurt someone. dogs may attack for protection because they may not know a persons scent so they feel the need to protect their family and their self.
Genetics for Attacking
ALL DOGS ATTACK BECAUSE OF GENETICS. Dogs that attack for genetics do it because it could be in their blood. Some examples of dogs that could attack for genetic reasons are pit bulls, rottweilers, and Doberman breeds. It is hard to tell by looks if a dog has fighting in their genetics.A dog may also be trained to attack. A reason they may be trained to attack are dog fights. The history behind a dogs breed can give a lot of infomation about if the dog has fighting in their blood.
Summary
Dogs can attack for many reasons. The history behind dogs can make dogs attack for may of those reasons. The best bet to save your life is to ASK BEFORE YOU MESS WITH A DOG. You should never mistreat a dog because that can make a dog that you still own attack you or your family.
