Lights, Camera, Dancin'
September, October, and November Newsletter
Thank you for choosing Lights, Camera, Dancin'!!!
The LCD Staff would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and dancers for cooperating with the instructors during the past couple weeks of class evaluations. Our instructors have been and will continue to evaluate each dancer to ensure they are placed in the appropriate class level. Some students have been placed in new classes, and this will help maximize their learning potential this year. As our classes continue to fill up, we will continue to adjust accordingly to ensure our class sizes will still allow for individualized attention for each student. Thank you for your help. We hope to have all students in the classes suited for them by the end of the month.
Jazz it up!
Just stretching as usual!
Taking a break at the barre to take a cute picture!
So proud to see our little ballerinas grow into mature pointe dancers!

OPTIONAL FUN PASTA FUNDRAISER
Lights, Camera, Dancin’ is fundraising with Fun Pasta Fundraising!
This fund raiser is a great way to raise money for your Recital Package Fees, which will start right after the holiday season in January! It is up to you how much you sell or if you want to participate in this fund raiser! The pasta selection is affordable and selling is fun and simple. And best of all, you earn 40% profit!
What is Fun Pasta?
Fun Pasta is pasta shaped like the holidays, sports, collegiate team logos, special interests, hobbies, and more! The colorful variety found online features a wide variety of shapes that will appeal to everyone!
How it can sell easily?
SHARE your Fun Pasta link with family, neighbors, friends, and co-workers!
Every sale helps support your dancer. The products are healthy, fun, and affordable – and make great gifts, too! I will be wishing everyone a “Pasta-tively Happy Holiday” this season for sure!
SHARE your Webpage Link on Facebook, Twitter, and Email too!
Out-of-town relatives and friends can now order directly from the company and YOU GET THE CREDIT! Please make sure they select your dancer’s name in the drop down menu on who they want to support and 40% of these sales go directly to you (excludes shipping cost)! The pasta ships within 3-5 business days and there is a flat rate shipping charge of $6.95, but if your order is over $50.00 it will ship for FREE!
*If it makes it easier for you, you could always have your family, neighbors, friends, and co-workers, tell you their orders after looking online. Then they could write a check to you personally and you then make a big order online to avoid shipping costs. You would then distribute the pasta to the buyers once you receive it.
Anything else you need to know?
Have Fun, Eat Pasta, Raise Money! And remember:
All orders must be ordered online by: Monday, November 30th
*Also, to be on the safe side and receive your orders prior to the holidays, it's important to order by October 16th for Halloween delivery and by November 11th for Thanksgiving delivery
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me: Stacie (630)295-5599
OPTIONAL WORLD'S FINEST CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER
LIGHTS, CAMERA, DANCIN’ is pleased to announce our second fundraiser to help offset the cost for the Recital Costume Package with WORLD’S FINEST CHOCOLATE BARS. We chose WORLD’S FINEST CHOCOLATE because of the tremendous appeal of the chocolate, 40% of what you make goes toward your Recital Package balance, and it is easy to sell. It is entirely up to you if you want to participate in this fund raiser. If you choose to do so, there is a minimum of 2 cases per family.
This year, we will be selling WORLD’S FINEST VARIETY PACKS. The bars will sell for $1.00 each and EACH CASE HAS 60 BARS. ALL BARS SELL FOR $1.00, which means you will have $24.00 to go toward your Recital Costume Package balance, per case.
Each family is responsible for purchasing their cases of chocolate up front for $36.00 per case AND a flat fee of $10.00 for shipping and tax. Once you sell the 60 bars in one case, you keep $36.00 to cover what you put down and give the other $24.00 to Lights, Camera, Dancin’ to put toward your Recital Costume Package balance.
The variety packs contain an assortment of the following WORLD’S FINEST CHOCOLATE bars:
MILK CHOCOLATE WITH CARAMEL
MILK CHOCOLATE AND ROASTED ALMONDS
PLAIN MILK CHOCOLATE
MILK CHOCOLATE WITH CRISP RICE
The chocolate will be available for pick up at the studio before winter break. An email will go out once it arrives here. All money for chocolate sales are due when you receive your Recital Costume Package Fees. ONLY STUDENTS THAT RETURN A SIGNED AGREEMENT AND THE MONEY FOR THEIR CASES OF CHOCOLATE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE HOME AND SELL THEIR CHOCOLATE. The form (you will receive in email) and the money per case is due no later than Saturday, November 14th.

ACTION DANCE CREW
ADC is a performing and competitive dance team for dedicated dancers. These talented and enthused dancers are required to: audition annually, attend dance conventions/workshops, perform for the community, and compete at regional and national dance competitions. Students are also required to attend additional classes and rehearsals throughout the year to enhance their performance.
We are super excited about ADC this year! A big THANK YOU to all of the parents who are supporting their dancers in Action Dance Crew! This is taking your dancer’s education to the next level and a truly rewarding experience for all people involved!
Please take the time to read through your emails once a week and come into the studio to checkout the ADC bulletin board for recent posts, hand outs, and updates. The dancers are working hard in all of their classes and things are going great!
Please take a moment to watch "Welcome to our World"! This is one of our previous Production Numbers that includes all the ADC dancers from that year!! GREAT JOB DANCERS!!!
ATTENTION Ladies and Gentlemen!!!
SOCKtober Presented by Socks and Souls
For the month of October, we have joined up with Socks and Souls (www.socksandsouls.com) to host a community based Sock Drive called Socktober, which is actually part of national sole warming movement that gives everyone an easy and fun way to help those in need within their very own town! For more information about Socktober, please visit: http://socksandsouls.com/pages/socktober
With that said, all anyone needs to do in order to participate in our Socktober Sock drive is donate a new pair of socks! Please considering picking up any type of socks, plain white, funky knee highs, baby ankle socks, etc., from a local store near you. The Target dollar section and the actual dollar stores both carry socks for a dollar! Then just bring them them to your next dance session and drop them off in our Socktober sock collection box at the front of the studio and you will be helping warm souls through soles this Socktober!
If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know as I am proud to have our dancers join in on Socktober this month!
YOUTH HOLIDAY TREE PROGRAM
The Village of Roselle will be sponsoring the 15th Annual Youth Holiday Tree Program!
If you'd like to come and help decorate the LIGHTS, CAMERA, DANCIN' Christmas
Tree, please meet at Lights, Camera, Dancin' Sunday, November 22nd promptly at
5:30pm. We will then head over to our tree. Then we will decorate the tree by applying the ornaments for approximately 15 minutes (because it will most likely be colllllllldddddd and potentially rainy outside) and then we will return back to the studio.
Parents are more than welcome to join us and you can leave straight from the Tree site with your dancer. This entire process shouldn't take any longer than 30 minutes! If you are dropping your dancer off at LCD at 5:30pm, please be back to LCD by 6:10pm (at the latest) to pick them up.
*Sometimes the trees don't get delivered on time. If this happens, I will let you know immediately. Please check your email on the 22nd before you come here! Thanks!!
1) We decorate CDs as the ornaments for our tree. Your dancer can either decorate an
ornament at LCD (plan to come in early) OR you can decorate a blank cd of your own at
home and once you bring it in, we will replace it with a cd of ours. We will NOT be
sending CDs home this year to be decorated. Thanks for your understanding and
2) If you want the ornament your dancer created, you can go to the tree between December 26th and January 1st to remove it. All ornaments are zip tied to the tree so bring scissors and keep in mind these ornaments are outside in the wind, rain, cold, and snow! Sometimes they blow away despite our efforts, which is beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding.
3) No matter what the forecast is, rain, snow, or sunshine, the tree decorating day & time is firm (unless the tree isn't delivered on time, which again, you would be informed)!
