Jordan Johnson O'neil is a famous negro baseball player, better known as Buck O'neil. He is credited as one of the persons to break the color barrier for african americans in baseball. Started with humble beginnings his future did not look bright. He was projected to be just like other black people in the community, living in poverty and segregation. O'neil decided that baseball was his way to escape poverty. He lived his dream playing for numerous teams. Including the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro Leagues. He is named and still remembered as one of the great negro baseball players to ever play the game of baseball in this era. He is remembered with his induction into the baseball hall of fame, shortly before he passed away at the age of 94.
