Author: Brad Currie
Brad Currie is the Supervisor of Instruction and Dean of Students for the Chester School District in Chester, NJ. He is passionate about Personal Learning Networks (PLNs), Educational Technology and Social Media in the school setting. Brad began his career as a Middle School Social Studies and Computer Education Teacher for the Hanover Township School District in Whippany, New Jersey. He then transitioned to the field of administration in 2009 as a Middle School Vice Principal/Athletic Director for the Readington Township School District in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Brad is a 2014 ASCD Emerging Leader and 2014 Bammy Award Finalist.
Brad is the co-founder and co-moderator of a weekly Twitter discussion for current and emerging school leaders called #Satchat. The online discussion takes place every Saturday morning on Twitter at 7:30 AM EST/PST. Brad is an avid blogger and enjoys presenting to audiences around the country about best practices in the school setting. He has written articles for Edutopia, Smartbief, and Kappa Delta Pi Record Magazine. Brad is one of the Founding Partners of Evolving Educators LLC.
