April 26, 2015

Dear Parents:

The DC Parent Meeting is Thursday at 6:30 PM in the media center. Students are invited but not required to attend. We apologize that this conflicts with the rescheduled track meet.

Student Meeting

Our final DC student meeting will be held during AIM time on Wednesday afternoon. It is important for all students to attend.

Dear Band Parents,

Due to the many changes in the spring sports schedule and the large number of athletes in our band program, we have selected Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. for our final spring concert. I will ask the students to dress in their finest spring wear and we will have a Festival of music that will be a treat for all in attendance!

Musically yours,

Gary Stutzman, Director of Bands

Major Doug Sloan Ceremony

We will honor Charlevoix graduate Major Doug Sloan in a special ceremony at Arlington Cemetery. Four students were selected to make the presentation.

Holocaust Museum

We have a very limited number of Priority Passes available for the Holocaust Museum. Students would have to miss the Air and Space Museum in order to fit it into our schedule. Those students interested in going to the Holocaust Museum instead of the Air and Space Museum will have an opportunity to put their names in a drawing. They will be accompanied by a chaperone.

It is your responsibility to make your final payments to Worldstrides. At this point they will only accept a credit card or cashier's check. Please do not send money to school.

Checks for earned spending money will be distributed at the parent meeting.

Summer Writing Camp

If your student loves to write, this is a great opportunity for some fun writing experiences with area middle school students and teachers.
