Happy Birthday, Traci S.! She'll celebrate her big day on 3/30!

Happy Monday, Wilson Team!

I hope you were able to take a little time for yourself this weekend and enjoy the simple pleasures around you! My husband and I actually had a "kid-free" weekend and were able to take some much needed time together. Although we both took work with us, we were able to relax and enjoy sleeping in and uninterrupted conversation during dinner. LOL!

On another note, I want you to know that some very difficult decisions will be made in the weeks to come regarding grade level assignments. It is a huge decision that I do not take lightly and one that has caused me many sleepless nights. I also know, however, that they are changes that need to be made in order for us to continue to grow as a collective "team" and truly function as grade level PLCs, which is a board goal. I recognize that change is never easy, but as I analyze it through the lens of "what is best for kids", I know it is necessary. Please know that I will do EVERYTHING I can to make these changes as easy as possible for all those involved!

I look forward to your support and understanding as our "Team" continues to unite and do what is best for our kids!

Thank you, Lisa Donati!

Lisa and the Young Farmers/Ranchers organization spent Saturday in our garden. They selected Wilson's garden as their community project which included: pulling weeds, cleaning out planter boxes, planting a new tree, adding bark, and an incredible amount of TLC. Please thank Lisa for all of her hard work and dedication to our school community!

An Epic Learning Experience at #CUE16

GUSD was able to send 13 teachers to the annual CUE conference this last weekend! I was able to follow some of the highlights of the conference via Twitter and it looks like the learning opportunities were amazing. I am excited to learn about the exciting new apps, gadgets, shortcuts, and Google platform components at an upcoming Cuefest! Another highlight of the trip was a keynote speech by Brad Montague, co-founder of Kid President.
