Mrs. Bentley's Parent Update
February 13, 2014
Student Spotlight
We are looking to showcase and spotlight our Georgia Virtual School (GaVS) students. If your child deserves recognition for something he/she has done or is participating in an activity/sport/event that we need to spotlight, please let me know.
Grades Updated
Grades have been updated for assignments that were due February 4. Please access your parent account and view your child's grade and my feedback. If you have questions, please let me know.
If your child selected a preference for completing assignments in the 14 or 12 week group, grades may not be reflected if he/she has not submitted any assignments.

Assignment Deadline - February 14, 2014
The assignment deadline for students enrolled in the 18, 14, and 16 week groups is Friday, February 14. Assignments must be submitted before 12:00 midnight. Details regarding assignment requirements are indicated in the News section on your child's home page.
I am aware that several of the public schools in Georgia have been closed due to the inclement weather we have experienced this week. If an assignment extension is granted by GaVS Administration, I will post an announcement on your child's homepage.

President's Day Holiday
Georgia Virtual School (GaVS) does not have a winter break scheduled on our school calendar. If your child is attending a public or private school and is planning on taking time off for his/her school's winter break, he/she will still be responsible for completing GaVS courses by the required assignment deadlines.
The announcement below was shared in the News section of your child's course.
