As the partial government shutdown continues, the Grant Cares team wants to make sure that Grant families who work for the Coast Guard or other Federal agencies have what they need to make it through.

See's Candy 6th Grade Fundraiser starts 1/22
The 6th grade is ready to make this the best Valentine's Day yet with another See's Candy fundraiser! Flyers and order forms will be distributed on January 18th and orders must be submitted by Friday, February 1st. All candy will be delivered on Wednesday, February 13th.
Girls on the Run with Coach Hilbert!
Girls on the Run, a national running program for girls in 3rd-5th grades, will be starting at Grant School in early February. Join the longest running after-school program at Grant like 100’s of other girls. Led by Coach Hilbert, the girls will complete a non-competitive 5K run/walk event at the end of the ten-week program. Grant Performing Arts Auditions Friday, 1/18
Grant welcomes Donnie Frank to the Directors seat this year! Donnie also runs the Performing Arts Program at McNear and works for Cinnabar Theatre. Students in grades 1-6 are invited to participate in 'Adventures in Wonderland', but only students in grades 3-6 need to audition.
*The Casting Call will be held on Friday, January 18 after school.
*Additional information and registration forms are coming.
*Rehearsal Days: Mondays & Fridays afterschool

After School Enrichment Changes
Pop Star Choir is BACK ON! Due to additional enrollees, we WILL be holding this new, fun after-school class on Wednesdays from 1 pm - 2 pm beginning January 16th. Open to 3rd through 6th grade, 1st and 2nd graders will be considered. Mock Trial / Debate for 4th through 6th grade has been CANCELED due to low enrollment. If you signed up, you will be contacted by Parker-Anderson and refunded.

Grant Year Books Now On Sale!
Ring in the New Year with the Yearbook Cover Art Contest! The winner(s) will be chosen by teachers and staff
and their artwork will be used for the COVER and back cover of 2018-19 Grant Elementary Yearbook!
THEME: What makes Grant Elementary great to you!
-Create an art piece on a 8.5x11” standard size paper
-Your name and grade must be on the back
