Commemorative Bell-ringing and Luminarias in SF on January 19
There will be bell-ringing and luminarias in Shelburne Falls on Jan. 19 at 5:30, to commemorate the 350,000 people who have died of COVID-19 in the U.S. and nearly 2 million worldwide.
The contact person is Jackie Walsh at shelburnejackieb@gmail.com.
Coordinator Jackie Walsh is looking for:
- HELPERS to create and light luminaries along Bridge Street, and helpers to get the word out.
- A trumpeter or other musician/s willing to stand in the cold.
- Help to clean up the luminaries.
- Help to make signs commemorating those who have died.
- Help to compile a list of the people who have died in Massachusetts.
- Help to reach out to churches and ask if they will ring their bells.
