North Shore Honors Scholars

There is nothing more fulfilling then spending a night celebrating the academic excellence of our students with the larger community. On Thursday evening, I had the pleasure of introducing the Masconomet Regional High School North Shore Honors Scholars. This event has been taking place for more than 50 years, led by the North Shore Chamber of Commerce to recognize students graduating in the top 5% of their class. Congratulations to our 2022 Honors Scholars. Seven of our Honors Scholars were able to attend the event and are pictured below.

This years Honors Scholars are: Lindsey Byman, Alexa Calabrese, Lauren Calabrese, Brennan Donnelly, Maya Evans, Katherine Love, Sloane McLean, Sarah McVey, Ana Popescu, Chase Quigley, Arianna Russo, Tracy Weener, Simon Xie, and Ada Yu

Class of 2024, PAC Chats with Dr. C!

An email was sent out to all students in the Class of 2024, inviting 10th graders to sign up with PAC Chats (thank you for the funding) with Dr. C! Pizza will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own lunch or grab one from the cafeteria. I am curious to know, how things are going? What has been difficult? In general, what is on your mind?

To those of you who have signed up, thanks. For everyone else here’s the link:

Tri-Town Council Updates

June Semester Exam Schedule and Conflicts

The final exam schedule is now posted. With the final exam published, it has come to my attention that there may be family obligations in conflict with the published exam schedule. Any request to move an exam or take an exam late, needs to come through my office using this google form. No Semester exam will be administered prior to June 17, 2022, the official start of the exam period. However, I am willing to work with you if there is a conflict that can be resolved within the final exam schedule (June 17 - June 23). If we are unable to find a time during the exam period we can work to find a mutually agreeable time to complete the exam during the summer. The first two summer make-up dates will be Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 at 9:00 AM. Please know, any student who does not complete their exam before June 23, 2022 will likely have an incomplete until school resumes in August. I realize that some absences are unplanned, and if you miss an exam on a given day, you would work with your teacher directly to reschedule the exam in a make-up window OR plan to complete the exam over the summer.

Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Mr. Ryan Quinn who was named the Globe Scholastic Alpine Girl's Coach of the year. The girl's team finished 12-0 on the season, winning the North Shore title, while placing third in states. Thank you for your great work Mr. Ryan Quinn. (Photo credit: Globe)
