Today, Patriot Day, we remember and honor the fallen of 9/11/01. OHS JROTC drill team members raised and lowered the flag to half-staff during a remembrance ceremony on the Christian County Courthouse lawn.

South Elementary third-grade classes became construction engineers this week, building and testing houses to see if they could withstand forces of wind.

Color Guard
The color guard is not able to travel and compete this season, but that’s not stopping them from working hard! The color guard performs along with the Pride of Ozark Marching Band at the home varsity football games. The next home game is Sept. 18.

A Glowing Math Lesson
How do you get fourth graders excited about math? You turn on a black light. East Elementary students in Ms. Lovell’s class practiced continuing patterns and solved math problems while they glowed last week.
Going the distance
Recently, Mr. McPheeters' OMS seventh-grade science class measured the distance of an expanse in the hallway. This was a great hands-on learning experience that tied into what students were learning in the classroom.
