Is Allosaurus your favorite dinosaur? Because I have a lot of facts for you! Allosaurus was a big, huge carnavore. A carnivore is a dinosaur that only eats meat. It lived one hundred fifty million years ago. Allosaurus was almost the biggest prededor that ever lived in the dinosaur world.
Allosaurus lived in the Tirasic time. The Tirasic time is one of the dinosaur times. The Allosaurus can be longer than a school bus. Some of them weighed as much as one hundred first graders!

Allosaurus had a huge bony head. It had a weird bony shelf under each eye. There is a big bump on the top of its head. There's lots of bones , knobs, and bumps. Its mouth is full of pointy, sharp teeth. Awesome for tearing up other dinosaurs.
Allosaurus had little arms. They were good for carying food. The dinosaur ran and walked on two strong legs. Allosaurus had sharp claws on its fingers and toes. It had a long ,long tail. The bones would feel like they weigh one million pounds! All of that holds up great dinosaur! "Cool!"

When somone discovered the first Allosaurus fossil people thought it was a horse hoof. Later, people understood it was a Allosaurus fossil.
Scientists found hundreds of Allosaurus fossils. They also found teeth marks on them. Scientists study lots of famus dinosaurs too. But they do know plenty about Allosaurus! Did you learn enough about Allosaurus? I hope so!
