Wrong Verb Tense or Verb Form
Examples:
Incorrect usage: A vast amount of pollution is caused by volcanic eruptions.
Correct usage: Volcanic eruptions cause a vast amount of pollution.
The word cause is an active verb, while the word caused is a passive verb. Writing tends to be more effective when active verbs are used over passive verbs.
