Weekly Update-Volume VI Issue 20

Saturday Exam Review

Thanks to Mrs. Berkoben, Ms. Bonney, Mrs. Simmons, Mrs. Broyles, Mrs. Ramsey, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Glass, Mrs. Sawyer, Ms. Conover, Mrs. Barclift, and Mrs. McGee for giving up their Saturday morning to help our students prepare for their exams! More than 60 students attended Saturday School. This is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and focus in preparation for these exams. Thank you for all that you do!

Administrator/Proctor Training

Administrator/Proctor training will be Monday, January 11 at 3:20 in the Media Center. All staff members must attend this training.

Teacher-Made Exams

If you do not teach an EOC, NC Final Exam, or CTE subject, you are to give your classes a final exam to all students not exempt. Please review the exam exemption policy and give the exam to all students who do not qualify. A copy of your exam is to be turned in to me ASAP.

The first semester exam schedule can be found on the testing module of the CCHS Staff Canvas Page. Please review this to help you pace for the end of the semester. The administrator/proctor schedule is also available in the Canvas testing module. Also, please review the released NC Final Exams and EOC's (the link is below) to prepare for the exams.

The attendance committee will meet some time over the next several days to determine attendance waivers. A spreadsheet will be emailed providing this information to teachers. I am also in need of at least one more teacher to serve on the attendance committee. Let me know if you are interested.

North Carolina Learning Object Repository (NC LOR)

The North Carolina Learning Object Repository provides an environment for educators to search for, use and share quality educational resources. The content is aligned to the North Carolina Essential Standards and is open to everyone to use. All NC LOR resources have been added to our Canvas and they are available on Schoolnet. I have created a module for NC LOR tutorials on the CCHS Staff Canvas Page.
