In this Museum you will see many different kinds of art from the Renaissance period. The Renaissance period lasted from the middle to late 1400's to the early 1500's. You will see many different artists and their work. You will surely be amazed at how different the art form was then and now. This Museum is also a great place to bring the family there are things that would intrest everyone!

Michelangelo
Michelangelo was born on March 6, 1475 in Caprese, Italy. Michelangleo became an aprentice painter before studying in the sculpture gardens. His works include " David" and "Pieta" , statues and the ceiling paintings of Rome's Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo lived most of his life in in Rome where he died in 1564 at the age of 88.

Ghent Altarpiece
Jan Van Eyck was born in Circa in 1395. In 1432 Van Eyck painted " Adoration of the Lamb" the Alterpiece for the Church in Ghent. Throughout his carer Van Eyck used oil painting in his portriats and panels. He died on July 9, In 1441 In Burges, Netherlands.
Sandro Botticelli
Sandro Botticelli was born in 1445, in Florence, Italy. As a boy he apprenticed as a goldsmith, then with a master painter Filipo Lippi. He also contributed to the decorating of the Sistine Chapel. His best known work is the " The Birth Of Venus ". He died May 17, 1510.
Rapheal
He became Peruginos apprentice in 1504. Living in Florence, Italy he painted a series of "Madonnas". In Rome from 1509-1511 he painted the Stanza della Segnatura. In 1514 Pope Julius II hired Rapheal as his chief architect. Rapheal died in Rome, April 6, 1520.
