Pinkston Collegiate Academy seeks to empower students who want to position themselves on the forefront of emerging health science and technology fields. Pathways to these in-demand careers include: Allied Health, Management and Network Administration and Support. El Centro College West Campus is our DCCCD Collegiate Academy Partner. Our Industry Partners are Haynes and Boone, LLP, Parkland, Youth Revive and Univision.

Advisory Board Goals for 2019 -2020
- Leverage your network to provide internship opportunities to eligible 11th grade Pinkston H-TECH students beginning summer 2020
- Participate in a Project-based Learning Project to support student classroom work.
- Provide professional mentors to provide career, academic and/or social guidance and support for students
- Provide 5 or more hours of off-site worksite visits for P-TECH students that align with the P-TECH 9-12 curriculum and with the skills that they require for in-demand jobs in the Business, Health Science or Information Technology industry.
- Provide Professional Development/Expertise for Pinkston H-TECH teachers to give teachers growth opportunities.
December Steering Committee Meeting
December's Steering Committee Meeting was focused on the first step of preparing students to apply for internships. The Industry Partners and students worked together in groups brainstorming their work experience and qualifications to include on their very first resume. EIF also shared with Industry Partners the process for students to apply to the Dallas Works Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program.
