Ge-Anne Bolhuis, Ed. S. Bio
Ge-Anne Bolhuis, Ed. S. serves as Instructional Technology specialist and Media Specialist Liaison at Whitfield County Schools. She is a frequent presenter at GaETC, GLMA Summer Institute and can often be found at regional Edcamps and CoffeeEDU meetups. Ge-Anne enjoys her work with teachers and media specialists as they strive to reach every student. She is a Google Certified Trainer and was recently named a Common Sense Education Ambassador.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Digital Citizenship is an important part of online life and there are few who are unaffected by it. Educators and parents alike struggle with important issues like digital balance, privacy and online behavior. Common Sense Education resources will help you learn how to reach your school community stakeholders and teach your staff and students about Digital Citizenship in practical, engaging ways. Come join us as we delve into this treasure trove of lessons, videos, and community engagement resources all geared towards best practices with digital tools and media. For those interested in being a Common Sense Educator, School, or District, the pathway to certification will be highlighted as well. Participants will need to bring a tablet, Chromebook or laptop for this lesson.
