Cyclone Central Remote Edition
May 15, 2020
A Message From Mrs. Rateno
Cyclone Family,
It is hard to believe that we only have two more weeks together before summer break! We appreciate everyone's teamwork to help our Cyclones finish out the year strong! It has definitely been a year to remember, and we are excited for all that has been planned to help celebrate our students' hard work this year!
Our staff has been busy planning fun remote celebrations for their classes, and they have worked hard to organize any student supplies left in the building. We look forward to seeing everyone one last time during our Supply Pick-Up/Farewell Celebrations that are planned over the next two weeks. If you have not done so already, please sign up for a time to drive through our parade, pick up any student materials, and say farewell to your teachers.
A few reminders about our K-4th grade supply pick-up/farewell parades that are coming up next week:
- Traffic will be one way during this event. Please enter our property off of SOM Center Rd. and exit at Wilson Mills.
- There will be a box when you first enter the parking lot to return any library books.
- To pick up supplies, stop next to our gym, open your trunk, and a staff member will place your student's items directly into your vehicle. Please post a sign with your last name on the window to help our process move along as efficiently as possible.
- Please do not exchange cards or gifts.
- Please remain in your vehicle at all times.
Thank you for helping to make this event a fun and safe celebration for all! If there is anything we can do to help your child or your family close out this school year, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Sincerely,
Kate Rateno

HELPING HANDS
Cleveland Food Bank
In need of food? Contact Our Help Center at 216.738.2067
In 2012, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank launched a new benefits outreach initiative unique among food banks across the nation.
Our Help Center - dedicated to connecting food insecure individuals with the assistance they need – allows callers and walk-in clients the opportunity to complete an application for several government assistance programs. Clients can apply for SNAP (formerly food stamps) and more than 20 other programs with one of our benefits counselors. Calls are free and confidential.
In the Food Bank service area, one in six people are food insecure. For children, those numbers are more dismal. More than one in five children in our service area is at risk of hunger.
We understand that people need a helping hand during hard times. Many turn to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank for help! We serve clients from Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Richland and Ashland Counties and we can connect those in need to partner agencies, hot meals and mobile pantries that are nearby. In addition, we can help you submit a SNAP application by phone!
Call us today at 216.738.2067 or toll-free at 855.738.2067.
