PreACT Secure Assessment - April 5, 2023
9th and 10th Grade students at Beloit Memorial High School will be participating in the PreACT Secure Assessment on April 5.
The PreACT Secure is an online summative assessment given to 9th and 10th grade students that is aligned to the ACT and the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards. PreACT Secure measures what students have learned in the areas of English, Reading, Mathematics, and Science.
9th and 10th Grade students should report to the building at 7:30 for breakfast and check-in. Students are strongly encouraged to leave their backpack at home during testing. Since this is an online assessment, students will need to bring their school district assigned Chromebooks. All other personal belongings that are brought to school will be stored in a secure location during testing. Students will be released as they finish the test, typically around 11:30 AM. Students in accommodation testing rooms may take longer.
During testing on April 5th, BMHS will be closed to the public. There will be no school for Juniors and Seniors.
FORWARD Exam for all 10th Grade Students
Wisconsin Students in Grade 10 will be participating in the Forward assessment during the April testing window. Our school is scheduled to take the Forward assessment on April 11th during the school day.
The Forward assessment tests students in the areas of Social Studies. One or more subtests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your student be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.
Attached below is an Informational Brochure for Families which gives more information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used.
The Forward assessment measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can. The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations or placement in classes to best support your child(ren).
