New Fencing/Gates at AGHS

As many of you may have noticed there has been new fencing and gates installed around Arroyo Grande High School. Your students’ safety is of the utmost importance to us, and as a result here are some new processes that will go into effect starting Monday, October 17th:

  • Gates will remain open for the first 10-15 minutes after the beginning of school.

  • Once gates are closed and locked students will have to check in at the front office.

  • Gates will not be opened for students that are tardy.

  • Those parking in the back lot/upper back lot will have to make their way to the front office, check in with the attendance prior to going to class.

  • All visitors/parents will have to enter and check in at the front of the Administration Building (between the MPR and Administration), this includes anyone going to the Health Center, Attendance, Business or Records Offices.

Scholarships

ELKS TEENAGER OF THE MONTH SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Oceano/Five Cities Elks Lodge #2504 selects an AGHS senior male and female each month based on achievements, character, leadership, service, citizenship and scholastics. The Teenager of the Month will be recognized at an Elk’s dinner and will then be eligible for selection of "Teenager of the Year". Monthly for the 22'23 School Year - Completed application should be submitted to Brianna.boyd@lmusd.org. Students only need to apply once. If your application is not chosen in a given month, it will be considered for the following month. The sooner you turn in an application, the more opportunities you will have for selection. At the end of April, we have a panel of Elks Members judge the Student of the Month Applications. From this pool, we will select one male and one female who will each receive a college scholarship.

Go to the AGHS Website under scholarships for more information or stop by the Career Center.
