Lanzarote

INTRODUCTION
Lanzarote is an island of Spain, it forms part of the archipelago of the Canary Islands. It is in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa. It is the island located more to the northeast of the archipelago. In the north there are two small island: Alegranza and La Graciosa. Its capital is Arrecife. Lanzarote is located at a distance of approximately 140 kilometers off the coast of Africa. It’s got 143,209 inhabitants.
WEATHER AND CLIMATE
The climate in Lanzarote is subtropical, because they are close to the Tropic of Cancer. Temperatures are mild all the year round, and precipitation is scarce, especially in the Eastern islands. Vegetation includes date palms, pine trees, drago trees and laurisilva.
HISTORY
Lanzarote was discovered approximately in the year 500 BC. It has lots of monuments and things to see. Lanzarote is very famouse for its Timanfaya National Park, which is located between the municipalities of Yaiza and Tinajo. It is also famous for its Cueva de los Verdes.In Lanzarote you can see “El Charco de los Clicos”, the Graciosa island, the Papagayo Beach, ‘’Los Jameos del Agua’’, the Gulf Beach, the White Beach, the Garden of Cactus… You can also ride a camel in the Timanfaya National Park and take the bus route between the amazing volcanoes of the Timanfaya.
LEISURE AND ENTERTAIMENT
There are lots of things to do in Lanzarote. You can visit many places and do a lots of activities. You can also swim at the beach and sunbathe on its beautiful beaches.
INDUSTRY
The main industry is tourism and food. Lanzarote is very famous for its wrinkled potatoes, the Mojo Picón and the Rancho Canario.

I think Lanzarote is an incredible place. It will leave you speechless! COME VISIT US!!!!
