FRONTIER EAGLE NEWS
April 2023
A Note from the FMS Administrative Team
Dear FMS Families,
We hope that each of you enjoyed a restful and relaxing spring break! The time for rejuvenation was much needed. Since our return, our students and staff have hit the ground running as we head into the final quarter of the 2022-2023 school year! Fourth quarter will be busy, especially as we near May, during which we will administer the annual MAP assessment along with our final iReady tests of the year. For now, we are looking forward to settling into our five-day routine as we embark on the home stretch! Please know how much we appreciate your continued support at home.
Sincerely,
Dr. Laura Rowe-Holler, Principal
Mrs. Amber Houdei, Assistant Principal (Sixth Grade)
Mr. Kevin Kuehl, Assistant Principal (Seventh Grade)
Mr. Adam Bender, Assistant Principal (Eighth Grade)

There's no better way to show appreciation than a personalized, meaningful note! Thank you for taking the time to celebrate our staff.
PTSA Corner
UPCOMING MEETING:
We hope that you can join us for our next PTSA meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, April 25, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the FMS library. We hope to see you there, as your input is valuable!
FMS Support Staff of the Year - Mrs. Debbie Sethaler
FMS Substitute of the Year - Coach Frank Gentile
During his tenure as a long-term substitute within the PE department, Coach Gentile went above and beyond to serve the students and staff of FMS. Coach Gentile was often the first to notice areas of need and to volunteer to fill voids within the building. He willingly sacrificed his plan time to substitute in classrooms and to provide extra supervision in the cafe during breakfast and lunches. Most importantly, Coach Gentile demonstrated a desire to formulate meaningful connections and relationships with students and staff. His positive attitude, enthusiasm, and sense of humor are contagious. Thank you for your service, Coach Gentile. You are forever part of our Frontier Family!

Clinic Update for Current Seventh Grade Students
Attention Seventh Grade Parents:
Before your student can start eighth grade, Missouri State Law requires TWO vaccinations: Tdap and Meningitis (MCV4).
In order to start eighth grade, students must have up-to-date immunizations on file with the nurse.
Please call your child's medical provider and verify that your child's immunizations are up-to-date. If your child has received the Tdap and MCV (Meningitis) immunizations, your medical provider may fax records to the nurse at 636.445.5327.
If your child needs the Tdap and MCV immunizations, schedule an appointment with your medical provider, and send a copy of the records to the nurse's office as soon as possible.
FMS will be hosting a Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St. Louis (VNA) clinic on Wednesday, May 24 from 8:00-10:00 AM. Students may take advantage of this opportunity to receive their Tdap and MCV immunizations if a consent form is completed and returned to the Nurse's Office as soon as possible. The consent form is available below. (Parents and guardians do not need to be present, so long as the consent form has been submitted.) If there are fewer than ten participants, the clinic will have to be canceled.
Students without the required immunizations will NOT be allowed to start school in August. These immunizations are also required for students to attend summer school.
Thanks so much!
